Dr. Bonakdar is a highly trained cardiologist specializing in cardiac electrophysiology, with over two decades of international clinical and academic experience. He earned his medical degree in Iran in 1997 and completed his Cardiology Residency at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 2004. He further advanced his expertise with a fellowship in Interventional Electrophysiology in 2008.
Dr. Bonakdar served as an Assistant Professor of Cardiology at Guilan University of Medical Sciences from 2008 to 2014, where he was actively involved in both patient care and academic research. He later pursued advanced electrophysiology training at St. Michael’s Hospital and the University of Toronto, completing his fellowship in 2016.
Since then, he has been practicing in Canada, where he is known for his patient-centered approach and dedication to delivering precise diagnoses and individualized treatment plans. His clinical focus includes cardiac arrhythmias, particularly atrial fibrillation and ventricular arrhythmias. He also works closely with multidisciplinary teams in cardiac device clinics, including pacemaker and defibrillator care.
